Yu-Cheng Social Welfare

Yu-Cheng Social Welfare is a charity based in Taiwan which Capital have chosen to support.

In 1994, the concept of special education, social welfare, or comprehensive care for individuals with special needs was still largely unheard of. During this time, a group of determined parents, each facing the daily challenges of raising children with disabilities, decided to turn their frustration, worries, and pain into a force for positive change. United by their shared experiences and hopes for a better future, they came together to form the Yu-Cheng Social Welfare Foundation. Despite having limited resources, they pooled their collective energy and courage to reach out to the broader public, successfully raising awareness and funds to establish the foundation.

For nearly three decades, the Yu-Cheng Social Welfare Foundation has been at the forefront of driving social progress. Their efforts have reshaped the landscape of social welfare, with a focus on creating a more inclusive environment for those with disabilities. By pushing for legislation that upholds the dignity, rights, and opportunities of the disabled and other disadvantaged groups, they have played a crucial role in bringing about meaningful societal transformation.

Today, the Yu-Cheng Social Welfare Foundation continues its mission to foster dignity, equality, and hope for individuals with disabilities and their families. Their legacy is one of unwavering dedication, ensuring that every person, regardless of their abilities, has the chance to live a life filled with respect, opportunity, and the support they need.
