The recent Ankiros show attended by Capital Refractories Ltd along with our representative in Turkey; Zenmet Dis Ticaret, proved to be another successful exhibition for 2014. Mr Pete Taylor (Area Sales Manager) and Mr Nigel Robson (Director of sales) attended the fair in September.

The show was held over four days with a very good attendance from the Turkish (and other local countries) foundry and steel making sectors.

Capital Refractories Ltd are predominantly known for manufacturing Spinel Induction Furnace Linings, however we took the opportunity at the Ankiros Fair to showcase some of our other innovative products:

Samples of our extensive range of Gas Diffusers were exhibited at the show, CRL manufacture a complete range of Gas Diffusers for various sectors including coreless induction furnaces, aluminium melting and holding furnaces and steel ladle treatment. A number of requests for trials from all sectors for the range has been received by both existing and new potential customers. We anticipate trials before the end of 2014.

Our Patented Unibore nozzle system, a two piece multiple use bottom pour ladle nozzle system was exhibited, with significant interest from a number of foundry managers looking to increase casting quality and reduce ladle inventory. The Unibore system has already been successfully trialled in Turkey with a number of steel ladles converted over to the system, we anticipate more trials of the system in Turkey following the enquiries generated at the show

Our specialist ceramic core manufacturing division, Capital Injection Ceramics, were also exhibited. The potential for these products is higher than anticipated and again potential for supply to investment casting facilities is high following the interest shown at the stand. We have already received RFQ's and we look forward to supplying Ceramic Cores into Turkey.

Zirconia Nozzles offered by CRL were also shown at the show, these nozzles generated a lot of interest and enquiries have already been received, CRL look forward toworking wt Zirconia nozzle users in the future.

Many of our existing customers visited our stand to discuss current business and expressed interest in some of our other product developments discussed above, as well as a number of other overseas customers.

It was very rewarding to make new contacts and have the opportunity to find potential new business in the Turkish foundry and steel making sector as the country is continuously increasing its output and looking for higher quality, cost competitive products to help achieve this.

The Show was a great success and we look forward to attending the next Ankiros Fair in Istanbul, in two years’ time.
